CO2 Storage

Australia is a country with one of the highest rates of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per capita in the world, with the burning of coal for electricity production responsible for the majority of emissions.
MBA is at the forefront of a new industry that aims to reduce the amount of harmful greenhouse gases released into the environment by employing a CO2 capture and store solution. By removing this undesired byproduct and injecting the CO2 into sealed sandstone reservoirs, our mission can be achieved. Our company has the ability to critically analyse all Australian basins to locate appropriate geological sites for CO2 sequestration.
MBA has the following capabilities:
- Basin Analysis (Exploration for and appraisal of Storage Site)
- Injectivity Testing
- Sandstone Reservoir Capacity
- Static Geological Modelling
- Upscaled Dynamic Engineering Modeling
- Evaluation / Injector Well Design, and
- Monitoring Design (Seismic, wells and other methods)
MBA provides the technical expertise driving the ZeroGen Project and is assisting in a similar way with The Monash Energy Project. For more information, please peruse our Current Projects.
